Shared Custody

John Keesling began his career as the head of the Media Production/Music Lab/CAD Lab wing of nGen Solutions.  John is currently the Lead Systems Engineer at Creative Learning Systems. John has found great joy in installing technology that makes fun, hands-on educational experiences available to even the most reluctant of students and then training the teachers and children in its use.  At Shared Custody, John has brought his engineering expertise together with his intuition about what makes children happy and secure to build a user-friendly product designed to bring parents, teachers, therapists, and attorneys together in low-conflict communication for the best interests of the children.

About Us

Stephanie Keesling began working with children professionally as a piano and music teacher in 1999.  In addition to teaching music lessons, Stephanie spent the years 2000-2003 and 2010-2013 as a daily accompanist and aide in public school classrooms.  In the time between 2000 and 2010, Stephanie also worked intermittently as a consultant to local businesses in developing sound business plans, solid personnel and hiring policies, and strong accounting records.  In 2014, Stephanie graduated college with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) and has been working as a substitute teacher in her local school district ever since.  Through all of these ventures, Stephanie has first and foremost dedicated herself to being primarily a full time mother.  Stephanie's business knowledge as well as her compassion for and understanding of children make her a valuable asset to the Shared Custody team.

Shared Custody LLC was founded by John and Stephanie Keesling.  Both previously divorced, John and Stephanie met and married in 2013, creating a real life "Brady Bunch" blended family.  With three children each from their previous marriages and a new baby who joined the family a year after the wedding, John and Stephanie are well acquainted with the trials and struggles of trying to balance the demands of life with parenting schedules, child therapist recommendations, attorney fees, court dates, and the general logistics of easing a child's transitions between households.

Desperately seeking reprieve from high-conflict communications (and miscommunications) with their former spouses, John and Stephanie searched in vain for a software solution or online outlet where court orders, finances, therapist recommendations, medical issues, homework schedules, and other communication could happen in an easy-to-use, low-conflict environment.  When none was found, they began developing their own, and Shared Custody LLC was born.
